Marcel Kassuhn studied Applied Computer Science at FH Dortmund. In his bachelor’s thesis, he implemented two post-quantum cryptography algorithms in JavaScript… something he would not recommend in many respects. During his studies, he worked full-time at a telecommunications provider, where he implemented various telecommunications protocols. After more than four years, he switched from the light side of the force (software development) to the dark side of the force and became a hacker. He has now been working in this profession for over nine years. Marcel specializes in penetration testing, incident response, and digital forensics. As part of his forensic work and in leadership roles for various DAX-listed companies, he dealt with cases that sometimes involved nine-figure damages.

Manuel has been with Fujitsu (formerly Fsas Technologies) since 2011. Until 2018, he worked in PreSales, and since then he has been responsible for various data protection solutions. In April 2023, he was appointed to global Portfolio Management, where he serves as Data Protection Lead, overseeing all topics related to data resilience at Fujitsu/Fsas Technologies. This includes our “ownIP” products (responsible for the development of ETERNUS CS8000), as well as managing our partnerships in the software space with Cohesity, Commvault, and Veeam, along with reselling Quantum tape and deduplication appliances. He is an expert in exactly today’s subject area, bringing extensive hands-on and customer experience.

In the Business Development team, he is responsible for the Data and Storage business in Germany. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Consulting, and global units, he ensures successful implementation, go-to-market strategies, and the overall push of the Data and Storage business in Germany. He also advises customers and partners on technologies and trends in the Data & Storage infrastructure business and serves as the central interface to global product management regarding further developments and strategy. A strong focus is on the ETERNUS Storage Solution business, in which he has been involved since its introduction in Europe. Equally important is the Cyber-Security / -Recovery Data Protection portfolio and solution business — including joint efforts with our strategic partners.
